As of 2015, Desmond heads atypicalfilms, a boutique production house that has long been Desmond’s end goal and yet it is a place of new beginnings.

With the changing landscape of film production and advertising, he hopes to develop different media forms and content whilst continuing to work with agencies and clients on commercials.

Desmond’s most recent works include campaigns for Committee of Future Economy, Singapore Navy, Singapore Tourism Board, McDonald’s latest Samurai & Ninja Burgers, Unilever Wall’s Ice-cream and a trio of quirky spots for insurance giant Direct Asia. He’s also worked on a meaningful series for Facebook #SheMeansBusiness, which saw him shooting in both Singapore and Japan.
